The Japanese site ASCII has published new photos of what may be the new iPhone, which Apple should announce in September. The images show that the company’s new smartphone will have a design similar to the current iPhone 5, but will win a new golden version.
The photos show that the inscription “iPhone” on the back of the phone uses a thinner font, in line with the new typography of iOS 7, which will be released along with the device.
In addition, Apple should announce a cheaper version of its smartphone in several color options. Rumors, however, do not make it clear whether the launch will take place next month.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple has asked its supplier in Taiwan to begin shipping two new versions of the iPhone next month, including a low-cost model. Citing unidentified sources, the newspaper said Hon Hai Precision, a company linked to Foxconn in China, is preparing both a standard iPhone model with new upgrades and a cheaper version with new applications.
Last week, the site AllThingsD , part of the same company that owns the W.S.J (wall street journal), said that Apple should hold an event on September 10 to launch new smartphones as part of an effort to catch up.
