The creator of the iPhone and the iPad, Steve Jobs, had among its projects to develop the ” iCar “, an ambitious automotive design loyal to Apple, confirmed on Thursday by Mickey Drexler, a board member of the company.
Drexler said this idea of Jobs during the Innovation Uncensored conference, organized by the company in New York Fast Company.
“Look at the automotive industry, is a tragedy in the United States. Who is designing the cars?” Drexler asked the audience, before ensuring that “the dream of Steve (Jobs) before dying was to develop the” iCar. ”
The director of Apple, however, pointed out that Jobs did not have time to work on this project vehicle, which in his opinion, could have taken 50% of the market if he left the paper.
Steve Jobs died in October 2011 after a long battle with cancer.
